Top 5 World's Richest People in Crypto
Forbes has compiled a rating of those who have increased their wealth through cryptocurrency. There are now 19 crypto-billionaires in the world; people with a fortune of at least 1 billion dollars made from investments in crypto and blockchain assets.
Changpeng Zhao
In the first place rankings, with an estimated fortune of $65 billion, is the CEO and Founder of the Canadian trading platform Binance, Changpeng Zhao. The 44 year-old entrepreneur owns about 70% of the company and he also owns Bitcoin, but the value of the investment is unknown.
Sam Bankman-Fried
The second place is taken by the founder of FTX, Sam Bankman-Fried. He has a fortune of $23 billion, of which he plans to keep only 1% for himself. The rest of the money will be donated, according to the entrepreneur, as he is a believer in 'effective altruism’. This is a social movement and philosophy that focuses on the idea of doing as much good as possible for as many people as possible.
Brian Armstrong
The podium is completed by Brian Armstrong, CEO and Founder of Coinbase. His fortune was estimated to be $6.6 billion at the time of writing. Armstrong became prominent in 2020 when he asked employees not to discuss politics at work.

Another well-known name on the list is Chris Larsen, co-founder of Ripple, who has a fortune of $4.3 billion.
